Fuji Forest Bathing Overview

9:00 Meet your guide at either Gotemba or Odawara Station. Gotemba is best for people staying near Shinjuku and uses a highway bus. Odawara is best for those in Tokyo and uses the shinkansen. Meeting in the station we will discuss the day and make any preperations we need before heading out. This will include snacks and drinks.

10:00 Arriving at Gotemba 5th station we will start our hike into the lower forests of Mt. Fuji. The hike takes us into the heart of the fuji forest and includes several stimulating sights along the way from waterfalls to quiet glades.

12:00 Here we will arrive in a moss covered glade where we will quietly have some of the snacks we brought earlier and start our forest bathing. This includes enjoying the sounds of the forest that surrounds us as well as the trees and light from the sun around us. Forest bathing is a relatively simple activity but good for the body and mind especially in the middle of busy traveling.

2:00 As we start to return to the car at the 5th station our route will take us by two popular twin peaks and the tree line of the fuji forest. With good weather we will have stunning view as the mountain towers above us.

3:00 Back at the car we will start our return to the drop of spot on the way getting some late lunch at a local restaurant. This is often a heart meal of tonkatsu which is famous in the area.

4:30/5:00 Wrapping up our day at either a local station or your hotel we will be in a perfect place for you to continue your trip around Japan refreshed after our forest bathing.
